When I retired from a career in nursing and social work I began to weave on a small table loom. I was forever charmed. Now, I weave on an AVL Computer and a LeClerc. I have always been a crafter and knitter, but there is something about designing the pattern, dressing the loom (getting it ready) and finally weaving row by row which, to me, is very satisfying. Maybe it is the immediate gratification of seeing the cloth almost magically appear. The repetitive motion is stress reducing and the fiber possibilities are endless.
